Listen Up, My Friend!!

Go along my friend,
there’s somebody waiting for you,
she will tell you about things you never cared for,
She’ll make you do things you can’t imagine,
But she will take care of you my friend,
very good care until you both part away again.
And then you’ll walk along your own road dreaming of her,
and live the kind of life she always wanted for you,
you’ll want to show how “good” you have become,
and how much hard work you’d do to become “better”.
You’d be grim in front of her,
and when she’ll be gone you’ll smile even at the passing wind,
times change like that,
life’s unfair like that.
We buy useless expensive luxuries,
and cry for our cheap thrills.
Keep walking, keep doing your own thing,
whole new dawn of bright light is rising,
The colors with its army would look down upon you,
and there’ll go your darkness too.
You’ll jump up and down the battered old road,
that’s always open,
you’d try to think that god knows what’s wrong with you.
You’d try to think, you’d try to see,
but you’d be surprised when you won’t find any reason, no
meaning hidden away in secret chits.
There’s no pride in seeing chits anyways,
it took me a while but I learned my lesson the long way,
And whenever I look up to the clouds,
I feel the thing he brought me back for is pretty clear too.
Something’s gonna happen on 25th,
Just like the lost month, we lost the verb too.
There’d be much done in this world,
but it sure ain’t gonna be done by you or I.
You read a story; you choose the sorriest character there’ll ever
see,
so here we go 1,2,3…
Run, run, run, run down your rat channel,
run for your life because the cat’s coming,
you might just be punished for the stuff you never committed.
Long story short things would be even more grayer,
or colorful, depending on what kind of person you’ve been.
So, listen the dark lord is trying to cut a deal,
which would require you to be a bit more hallucinative along your way,
you’d have to walk the high walk till eternity,
eternity might be a long long way from here,
it’ll have its ups and downs and rights and lefts,
but this road has been escaped by no one.
So you keep your pen high,
you keep writing what this old man has to sing about,
I’ll give you the talk and, in your payback, you could listen,
hey, hey, looks like the dark lord’s not the only one cutting a
deal here,
till we meet again I’ll be looming somewhere in the atmosphere.
