Hope
Dusk till dawn,
she worked on,
for her dreams
which were hard to let go
she had given up dreaming at night
it’s the thing in her sight
which she held onto so tight
kept the light of her room on all night
She doesn’t want to weep for the things gone by,
She is convinced she is born for a reason.
Passed months and different seasons
while sculpting her dreams with utmost precision
She didn’t complain because, she knew no one really cared,
she had her own path ahead
which she must travel alone, of course while keeping up the
tone.
A voice from the sky cracked open from time to time just to say
to her,
Don’t give up yet, you are almost there,
you played fair,
now it’s time, life gives you your share.
Reap time is coming soon,
enough with lemons and juices of lime
don’t look down, you didn’t commit a crime.
“Hope” is a poem that I wrote to capture the essence of perseverance and resilience. It reflects the unwavering dedication of someone who continues to chase their dreams, no matter the obstacles. Through this poem, I wanted to highlight the importance of holding onto hope and the conviction that one’s efforts will eventually be rewarded.
The central idea of “Hope” revolves around the relentless pursuit of dreams. The protagonist works tirelessly from dusk till dawn, showing that true dedication often requires significant sacrifices. This poem is about the determination to keep going, even when the journey is tough and the path seems lonely.
Another key theme in the poem is the belief in a higher purpose. The protagonist is convinced that she is born for a reason, and this belief fuels her persistence. This sense of purpose is crucial for anyone striving to achieve something meaningful, as it provides the inner strength needed to overcome challenges.
“Hope” also touches on the anticipation of success. Throughout her journey, the protagonist receives encouragement that her hard work will soon be rewarded. This idea is important because it reminds us that our efforts are not in vain and that patience and persistence will lead to eventual fulfillment.
In writing “Hope,” I wanted to encourage readers to embrace their unique paths and hold onto their visions. The poem serves as a reminder that while the journey may be difficult, the reward of achieving one’s dreams makes it all worthwhile. It is a celebration of the human spirit’s capacity to endure and achieve, no matter the odds.
